We’re thrilled to announce that Eli’s Christmas Star, the heartwarming children’s book by Sammy Sutton, has been honored with the Golden Wizard Seal 2026.
This tender, faith-filled story follows a little boy named Eli who asked Jesus for a family. On Christmas night, under a bright shining star, he finds exactly what he hoped for — a mom, a dad, a little brother, and a place to belong. With soft golden-blonde hair, large blue eyes, and a wonder-filled heart, Eli’s journey is brought to life through beautiful watercolor-and-realistic hybrid illustrations that glow with Christmas warmth.
The Golden Wizard Seal recognizes outstanding children’s literature, and we’re honored that Eli’s Christmas Star has received this distinction. It’s a perfect read for families, especially those touched by foster care, adoption, or simply looking for a meaningful Christmas story to share at bedtime.
Pair it with the companion song “Star in the Snow,” which captures the emotion of the story in a gentle, memorable way.
