5.0 out of 5 stars Our World under Threat September 26, 2012

Author Sammy Sutton has created a gripping, fast-paced, and thought-provoking story, Darkening Danger. Written in the first-person point of views by her leading characters, Dr. Michael Levine and Johanna Mueller, I could feel the intimate emotions of our world under threat.
Secrets, uncertain of who to trust and a killer loose is just a small part of this cleverly woven tale. Imagine a world without technology, sunlight, and anarchy on the streets. This prequel to the soon to be released novel, Concealed, had this reader totally absorbed from front page to back.
I have no hesitation in recommending, Darkening Danger, to all readers who enjoy quality fiction: five stars easily.
5.0 out of 5 stars Darkness Has Come Upon Us September 17, 2012
By Kathy Feigel
Authors have written of the darkness since chisel was first taken to stone, and all have carried a single theme; Darkening Danger. Poe said it best; "Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, and dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before." With Darkening Danger, Sammy Sutton takes it one step further and gives us a darkness that brings dreams no mortal ever wanted before. The world has undergone a drastic change; the sun is gone, the moon is gone, the stars are gone, and soon all electrical power fails; what do people do when there's nothing to light the way?
Her main character Michael Levine leaves me wondering if he is a light in the darkness or perhaps a part of the darkness. In subsequent books I hope to find the answer. I can't wait!
Chaos has just begun and we are only in the first day of what might prove to be the end of the world as we know it.
In Darkening Danger we find tension created by total darkness, murder, sleep deprivation, dreams that capture you and won't let go, and sexual encounters that leave you asking the question; if one must court darkness as the cost of knowledge; what price are we willing to pay?
5.0 out of 5 stars Darkening Danger (Sammy Sutton) September 30, 2012
By Sheri A. WilkinsonMichael Levine a Geophysicist from Texas, meets Johanna Mueller a woman who he thinks is crazy or maybe paranoid. Soon he finds out why. There is a killer on the loose and Johanna does not know who to trust. Add to it there is a black out and the sun will not shine for days, which is causing pandemonium. With this blackening of the sun when people go to sleep they are having some form of hallucination, for that is the only explanation Michael can come up with. Michael is compelled to protect the woman(Johanna) he just met and save her from the killer and the uncertain future.
Fast paced thriller. I look forward to the sequel: Concealed.
5.0 out of 5 stars DARKNESS OF THE SOUL, November 10, 2012
By Marta Moran-Bishop
Darkening Danger by Sammy Sutton left me spellbound. As it drew me deeper into the world of Dr. Michael Levine and Johanna Mueller, I found myself lured into the possibility that we could have this happen in our future. Was this darkness designed by Doctor Levine or is he the solution to it?
Where are we as a world going as we continue on this path of self-delusion and destruction? How long will we keep our heads in the sand to save us from looking within?
Ms. Sutton left me nearly panting for more, on the edge of my seat and wondering if it were possible and how we as a people could avert this. Is this a metaphor for the darkness that reigns in some souls or a reality that may come in time if we continue on our current path?
I highly recommend this book and personally cannot wait for the sequel.
5.0 out of 5 stars Darkening Danger a Fast, Fun, Exciting Read!, October 29, 2012

While looking for a quick read this week, I found this new book, Darkening Danger by Sammy Sutton. I have to say I have been pleasantly surprised to read a fresh take on an old topic. The end of the world as we know it has been done time and again, yet Sutton has taken that idea and given it a twist, and then tied it all up with a little romance, a little murder and mystery.
When darkness falls not knowing who you can trust, not knowing who's in the same building, or even standing behind you, can create a unique set of circumstances. Sammy Sutton has taken Darkening Danger to a marvelous place...and I hope she leaves us there for a long time!
The main characters are well written, with voices that are clear and sharp. Michael Levine is a reluctant hero, who has a tendency to hold himself above the world. His new found friend Johanna Mueller is not who she says she is, and the twists and turns her story is taking leaves me wanting to know more!
Darkening Danger is an excellent book, which I wish was longer. Yet, the promise of the next in the series is something to look forward to...like Christmas presents! Can't wait to read the next one, "Concealed"!
DARKENING DANGER is Available on Amazon Kindle or Ebook format!
