(LOS ANGELES) "The Chronicles of Ara" is a heralded new epic fantasy novel series, written by Joel Eisenberg and Stephen Hillard, published by Incorgnito Books' speculative fiction imprint, Topos Books.

What are the long-term repercussions if all of creativity, and invention, was inspired by a corrupted muse? Would there be an endgame?

Screenwriter-producer Joel Eisenberg ("April Showers"), who nearly ten years ago discovered a "lost" John Steinbeck archive that led to several high-priced auctions, and Texas entrepreneur Steve Hillard, author of the controversial "Mirkwood: A Novel About JRR Tolkien" and whose company, Council Tree, recently closed a $3 billion DISH Network deal, have teamed to pen the eight-part epic fantasy series, "The Chronicles of Ara." The first volume, "Creation," launched March 15, 2015 at a standing-room-only event at Vroman's Bookstore in Pasadena, CA. The buzz has been such that the writers, and the series, have attained a sizable social network, usually reserved for the most popular of authors, nearing a collective 35,000,000 connections.

In 2011, Hillard pitched his self-published novel, "Mirkwood", to Eisenberg with the intent of producing a feature film based on the work. The two formed a partnership and the project was substantially expanded. Eisenberg and Hillard are presently developing a television project based on the upcoming novels, and are represented by Creative Artists Agency.

The new books are considered companions to Hillard's earlier work. "Ara" will study the influences of darker fantasists, such as Poe, Lovecraft, Mary Shelley and others, authors of rare insight whose works tended to reach their readers on a primal level, as they themselves toiled within that realm.

"It's an ambitious series," says Hillard. "Through eight books we will attempt to elucidate the origins and repercussions of artistic creation, within the conceit that all the world's

artistry has been manipulated by a singular, corrupted muse."

"The Chronicles of Ara" follows the fictional discovery of a missing book of "Beowulf", authenticated by J.R.R. Tolkien and a team of academics, which sets in motion a series of events that years later will expose the existence of the corrupted muse and her tragic plan for all of humanity.

"The Chronicles of Ara" saga takes place in several time periods: "Pre-Genesis" (the age of the dragons, following a regular fantasy trope), the more recent past - as the featured authors are inspired to comprise their greatest works - and the near-future.

Incorgnito Books was formed in January, 2015. The publishing concern is owned and operated by Michael Conant, and is based out of Los Angeles, California.
"The Chronicles of Ara" is presently available on amazon.com and select bookstores.
