The epic series begins in Rise of Talus when a prince discovers his world has been turned upside down. The conspiracy deepens as the prince learns that the God of his father has manipulated the king since his birth. In his desire to ascertain the truth, Talus learns that he is part of a plan to reveal The One for what it truly is and for that he must die. Talus sees himself as the savior of man justifying his actions in order to free man from God’s tyranny. His quest is to enter the heavens and confront the being that is bent on his demise.

The story continues in the Four Strangers when the prophecy involving adolescents from South Portland, Maine begins. Lost, they seek a way back home and their allegiance is only to that end. As they search for a way back to the Polar Caves, they become involved with those opposing and defending God itself. Their destiny has been foretold and so those surrounding them seek to either have them fulfill their fate or be killed in order to prevent them from doing so. Do they trust Talus (The King of Atresia) or Teller (The spiritual Leader of Galea)? Do they trust The One or The Darkness that seeks The One’s destruction? Through the ordeal they learn about themselves and the true meaning behind their journey and the red door.

Much like C.S. Lewis did with The Chronicles of Narnia, Verdelli will capture readers’ imaginations instantly with the first chapter and compel them to join him on the fantastical journey that is the TELLER’S TALE and await each new title with excited anticipation.

Review: The Yaakmen of Tyrie by Mark Paul Jacobs

After reading several books by Mark Paul Jacobs, I have to say, he has won my deepest respect as an author. Mark’s work is profound, intelligent, and wonderfully imaginative. The Sci-Fi Channel should take a serious look at his fascinating stories.

The Yaakmen of Tyrie, layered in dichotomies, is worthy of the big screen. This tale is a treat for the fantasy buff as well as the archeological fiction fan. The alien world presented from within the pages is no less than brilliant. Mark meshes fantasy, and familiar history into a clever page-turning fantasy.
The brutal winter and war will provide great reading for cold winter nights. This is a fresh new story with familiar and unfamiliar struggles.  Just keep the brandy to a minimum for the deep secrets of the past are revealed with skillful design. No doubt, you won’t want to miss a single clue as the layers of plots and subplots unfold in the Alien land.
Prepare for a complex adventure filled with dynamic characters enriched with personality.  The fantastical monsters and humanlike beings are fabulously entertaining. A Giant Thumbs up for The Yaakmen of Tyrie.

SEMPER AUDACIA by M. Pax

The title is awesome and sets the scene perfectly.  SEMPER AUDACIA  is a fascinating novella! MPax has built a dynamic world within the pages of an equally dynamic Science Fiction story that begs for sequels. I loved Leda a most interesting, alone through much of the story, she is an incredibly well devoloped character. However, I must return to the detail, MPax had me awe struck by the meticulous story she was able to create in the confines of a short story.

The ghost brigades, and the space outpost are just a couple of elements that escort the reader's mind through a wonderfully imaginative world. This is a great weekend read that will intrigue the most avid of Sci-Fi Fans.
