THE DAY GOD WINKED by Mark Paul Jacobs

Humankind's fascination with existence is infinite. The questions answered only lead us down a path scattered with a more incestuous need to know. Just days beyond the passing of my dear Dad, I ponder this thought and deliberate the circumstances presented in Mark Paul Jacobs', The Day God Winked.

Pete, a taxi driver, and recovering addict escorts the reader through an interesting view of a dynamic event. His experience provides a clever duality that serves to deepen the reader's contemplation.

Mark Paul Jacobs
The novella provoked several questions for me, but one remained with longevity. Is it more important to know the ultimate answer to our existence, or is it enough to know that our persona does not end? Perhaps, this changes with our lives. In the wake of my father's death, I think, I would choose to know and be happy with the infinite.

Mark Paul Jacobs is a talented, and very creative author, whom has developed an intelligent, and plausible explanation in THE DAY GOD WINKED!

THE WATCHERS FROM WITHIN MOMENTS, REVEALED, by Mark Paul Jacobs

The Watchers From Within Moments, Revealed by Mark Paul Jacobs is a fascinating, and suspenseful short story!

Mark Paul Jacobs provides readers with a wild, intelligent ride in a short amount of text. He has developed an absolutely plausible set of stunning circumstances. No doubt any reader will be left contemplating the possible reality of such an event.

In this nail biter, FastTech, an American Company, makes an alarming discovery with some state-of-the-art camera equipment. Their discovery sends the entire population into a frenzy that demands government, and political involvement. The shocking end will literally leave you stunned.

I enjoyed this story immensely.

THE BETWEEN TIME by Marta Moran Bishop

What if…for the first time in the history of the United States we took a social and economic nose dive into oblivion? THE BETWEEN TIME is just such a scenario. A story that reads like a folk tale from the past, but in reality is a fantastic possibility based on the choices available to us today.

The premise is nothing short of an incredible imagination as modern day Chicago fades into an evil darkness separated by a wall. A separateness ruled by the upper society that isolates and mistreats the poor. These less fortunate people, in a short amount of time find themselves forced to live in the lower communities suffering from mistreatment comparable only to the concentration camps during WWII. Women are no longer human beings, but are nothing more than breeding animals kept only to prevent extinction of the race. The conditions are bleak and seemingly hopeless.

It is the belief in a Legend that becomes the driving force behind the survival. A young girl named Jewel, living in the captivity of this devastating socioeconomic environment, is the dream. She manifests hope and magic from within this beautiful tale.

Marta Moran Bishop
Fantastical, Magical, & Mystical in a story that will make you believe it is about a long forgotten past, but in reality is a possible future! I wholeheartedly recommend this remarkable highly imaginative novel!

CITY OF SCREAMS by James Rollins & Rebecca Cantrell

An exciting quick read jam packed with suspense. A story so full of ancient lore, it will leave you thinking for days. Sergeant Jordan Stone, a team leader for JEFF (Joint Expedition Forensic Facility), a CSI type group of investigators in Afghanistan, receives audio of a perplexing crime committed against a group of archaeologist, he and his team move to investigate scene in the “Cursed City.”

Accompanied by a nervous archaeology professor, Thomas Atherton, Stone and his men find themselves in the ruins of an ancient city where Genghis Khan slaughtered more than a 100, 000 citizens. Later, Buddhist monks inhabited the area adorning and meditating in the nooks and crannies of rocky mountainous terrain, destroyed by the Taliban in 2001. The story is a fascinating tale full of reality teasing twists!

THE VOID by Marta Moran-Bishop

Does Altori suffer from a multitude of mental illnesses or is something stranger lurking in the
darkness? Her affliction could certainly be described as delusional paranoid schizophrenia with a tendency to inflict wounds upon herself.

The author takes a great deal of time and effort into stimulating the reader's senses, but ultimately where is she leading us in this short prequel? Ultimately, "Brigadoon" and then "The Knowing" came to mind, but the again are we just eaves dropping into the mind of a mental patient?

Marta Moran Bishop
The Void is an absolutely brilliant mind-bending story that will keep you guessing!
