AUDIO BOOKS by Marta Moran-Bishop

Marta's mother and grandmother wrote all their lives, they gave her the love of reading and writing. A few of these books contain some of their writings.

Both Patricia Moran and Helen Springer Moran's greatest wish was to be published. They would be so honored if they were alive that people were listening and reading their writings.

The following books by Marta Moran Bishop  are available on audio at Audible.com!

HIDDEN REALMS by Marta Moran Bishop and Patricia Moran

What is it about the paranormal? Is it the eerie feeling we get when presented with the possibilities or is it simply the escapism it provides? Either way, I've always been attracted to the stories.

Hidden Realms is collection of three short stories, The Other Side, The Night of the Fairies, and The Hollowers. Author Marta Moran Bishop and her late mother Patricia Moran wrote the beginnings of these stories several years ago.

The Night of the Fairies is a sweet story of a girl adopted by a tribe. Her unusual differences begin to unfold in true fairy tale fashion.

The Other Side is a compelling love story with an adult complex theme that crosses over into a parallel dimension. Being a true romantic, this was my favorite.

Marta Moran Bishop
The Hollowers is reminiscent of an episode Twilight Zone. The story surrounds around Jerry, a delusional self-absorbed man that is unable to live in a reality based existence, until one day when he finds an unusual box and then we, the readers, are left to wonder if it is Jerry's reality or the Universe's that has the final say.

The stories are well worth the read, but are most entertaining on audio as Brian Richard Robin brings them to life with his fabulous vocal characterization. Only an hour long, it is a great collection to enjoy on a cold winter's night before bedtime.

WEE THREE; A Mother’s Love in Verse by Marta Moran Bishop

This is a beautiful book of delightful rhythmic poetry and prose. It is a fabulous choice for a special child, but I promise the adults will love the stroll down memory lane. A precious gem of words compiled through generations of the author’s family. The love and care permeates throughout the pages.

WEE THREE is a celebration of childhood as seen through eyes we all once shared. I am particularly fond of MOTHER’S FLOWER GARDEN, CINDERELLA MOTHER, and SNOW MAGIC. The illustrations are fabulous works of sweet art. This book is definitely keepsake quality.

Bravo, to Marta Moran Bishop, I love this book!

THE BETWEEN TIME by Marta Moran Bishop

What if…for the first time in the history of the United States we took a social and economic nose dive into oblivion? THE BETWEEN TIME is just such a scenario. A story that reads like a folk tale from the past, but in reality is a fantastic possibility based on the choices available to us today.

The premise is nothing short of an incredible imagination as modern day Chicago fades into an evil darkness separated by a wall. A separateness ruled by the upper society that isolates and mistreats the poor. These less fortunate people, in a short amount of time find themselves forced to live in the lower communities suffering from mistreatment comparable only to the concentration camps during WWII. Women are no longer human beings, but are nothing more than breeding animals kept only to prevent extinction of the race. The conditions are bleak and seemingly hopeless.

It is the belief in a Legend that becomes the driving force behind the survival. A young girl named Jewel, living in the captivity of this devastating socioeconomic environment, is the dream. She manifests hope and magic from within this beautiful tale.

Marta Moran Bishop
Fantastical, Magical, & Mystical in a story that will make you believe it is about a long forgotten past, but in reality is a possible future! I wholeheartedly recommend this remarkable highly imaginative novel!

A POET’S JOURNEY: SUNLIGHT and SHADOWS

Through this collection Marta Moran Bishop gives the reader a raw peek inside the intimate dichotomy a victim of abuse must endure until they are able to process. Marta takes the entanglement of love and hate abuse, and through the rhythm of her words she unwinds her confusion. In a completely unadulterated tone, she smooths the drama and unselfishly shares the gift with others, a priceless gift.

Her gift is without restraint through her beautiful poetry. This book is a deep reflection of a victim, survivor and a beautifully empathetic human being that has risen above the perpetrators of the past and found beauty in people, nature, and animals. I so admire Marta's ability to share her deepest and most intimate feelings and experiences while at the same time recognizing obstacles others encounter that are not hers personally.

From a heart wrenching abusive experience, a salute to soldiers, an inclusive look at God and a tree sleeping...this is a wonderful labor of love any poetry reader will appreciate.

DINKY THE NURSE MARE'S FOAL by Marta Moran-Bishop

I am a lifelong lover of horses. When I was a child I talked about horses all the time, due to an equally lifelong hearing impediment, I could not hear the soft letter sounds, therefore for many years I called them "sorsies." Early in my childhood, we moved to a farm and my Dad purchased a horse for my brother and I. My horse was Lady, not too original  but she was proud and nostalgic deserving of the royal title.Reading about Dinky took me back to those magical days on the farm. These days a story that moves me in such a personal way is rare, but oh so, enjoyable and refreshing.

Told in the honest spirit of sharing, DINKY THE NURSE MARE'S FOAL is a glimpse into a hidden side in the life of a beautiful creature. Through Dinky a precious emotional story emerges; one that left this reader laughing and crying. Most of all, it opened my eyes to an alarming practice in the business of horses.I am embarrassed to say, I had never thought about what happened to the nurse mare's babies, and was naive enough to assume rescue stables and similar facilities were staffed and ran by well trained and educated people.
Marta Moran Bishop

On one hand, Dinky's story exposes the cruel reality of suffering imposed upon the helpless by a rich industry. On the other hand, it is a beautiful story about adoption, and adaption, as Dinky learns to find his place within his new horse family and of course, his people family. Dinky's journey reminds me of my family's experience with two adopted children. There are precious beautiful moments, yet there are times when the memories of the past cannot be subdued and a perfect storm erupts. In my opinion, Dinky's life is as much an accurate portrayal of adoption as it is about abuse, but more significantly it is about overcoming the odds.

This is a touching book for all ages. Please, do not miss it!

THE VOID by Marta Moran-Bishop

Does Altori suffer from a multitude of mental illnesses or is something stranger lurking in the
darkness? Her affliction could certainly be described as delusional paranoid schizophrenia with a tendency to inflict wounds upon herself.

The author takes a great deal of time and effort into stimulating the reader's senses, but ultimately where is she leading us in this short prequel? Ultimately, "Brigadoon" and then "The Knowing" came to mind, but the again are we just eaves dropping into the mind of a mental patient?

Marta Moran Bishop
The Void is an absolutely brilliant mind-bending story that will keep you guessing!
